Application Ecosystem for Efficiency and Risk Management in Construction
Construction
USA

Challenge: A US client, a leader in industrial construction consulting, identified a critical problem: nearly 98% of construction megaprojects exceed budget or schedule due to a lack of precise data and improper staffing. The client needed a digital ecosystem to replace “firefighting” with proactive planning based on mathematical workforce performance models and risk analysis.
Tecne Solution: We designed and implemented a comprehensive suite of web applications that digitize management processes on construction sites ranging from 10,000 to 15 million man-hours.
- Strategic Planning Tools: We created the Duration Risk Guide application, which visualizes schedule risk using a “Cone of Certainty,” and a Project Management Dashboard for tracking cost KPIs in real-time.
- Workforce Efficiency: We built unique tools for objective employee assessment (Efficiency App, Pipe Welder Productivity), which generate precise Performance Factors based on tests and work results.
- Digital Wallet: We developed a digital professional passport for workers, storing their certificates and verified performance results, facilitating recruitment.
- Operational Optimization: The Supervisor Planner application generates manpower loading curves and daily plans, while Crew Mix Optimization allows for building teams with the ideal cost-to-skill ratio.
Result: We delivered technology that is revolutionizing the Industrial Construction market in the USA. These tools allow the largest construction firms to scientifically optimize labor costs and drastically reduce the risk of delays in investments worth billions of dollars.
Heterogeneous Robot Fleet Management System
Autonomous Mobile Robotics
USA

Challenge: The client was seeking an FMS (Fleet Management System) class solution that would allow for central management of a diverse fleet of autonomous robots in logistics environments. The key problem was coordinating the movement of multiple machines from different manufacturers in real-time, avoiding deadlocks, and dynamic task assignment.
Tecne Solution: We created an operational “brain” for the entire fleet – an advanced backend system for robot orchestration.
- Traffic Control: We implemented traffic management algorithms that dynamically determine routes, preventing collisions and congestion in narrow corridors.
- Task Dispatching: The system intelligently assigns missions to robots, taking into account their specifications, location, and battery status.
- Interoperability: We developed a communication layer compliant with industry standards, enabling the integration of machines from different vendors into a single cohesive ecosystem.
Result: A scalable platform that transforms a group of individual robots into a coordinated, efficient “swarm,” drastically increasing operational efficiency.
Comprehensive Engineering of an Autonomous Mobile Robot
Autonomous Mobile Robotics
USA

Challenge: A client operating in the robotic hardware sector needed a partner to create an engineering design for a new class of AMR robot from scratch. The challenge was “hard engineering” – designing a machine compliant with rigorous safety standards capable of working in an industrial environment, while maintaining a competitive production price (BOM) and modern design.
Tecne Solution: As special task engineers, we took responsibility for the complete product R&D process.
- Hardware Design: We designed the complete physical architecture of the robot – from selecting motors and the drive system (hidden wheels, casters for stability), through the power system (BMS integrated with charger, 24V bus), to the mechanical construction of the frame and housing.
- Safety Critical System: We implemented a multi-level safety system. We used two safety lidars in the corners (360-degree coverage), physical bumpers, and a 3D camera system for “soft” obstacle detection. Everything is integrated with a certified safety circuit (Safety PLC/Relays), guaranteeing immediate stopping (E-Stop).
- Software Stack: We developed a concept for firmware and software based on an industrial computer, integrating navigation (SLAM, UWB), fleet management, and an HMI interface (touch screen).
Result: We delivered complete design documentation for the robot. The client received a “tailor-made” product that combines maneuverability, industrial safety, and unique design, ready to compete in the US market.
IoT Platform for Thermal Energy and Utility Management

Challenge: An energy operator serving the Baltic markets needed a highly scalable, multi-tenant system for remote reading, monitoring, and billing of heat, water, and electricity consumption. The system had to handle thousands of geographically distributed sensors, process data in real-time, and make it available in the form of transparent reports for property managers and tenants.
Tecne Solution: We created a powerful IoT portal serving as a central hub for the client’s metering infrastructure.
- Complex Data Architecture: The system supports a deep hierarchical structure: Organization -> Building -> Heating Node -> Apartment Group -> Apartment -> Sensor. This allows for extremely precise attribution of consumption to a specific tenant, pipe segment, or common area.
- Sensor Agnostic & Virtual Sensors: The platform integrates data from various types of meters (heat meters, water meters, electricity meters, CO2) transmitted via IoT / MQTT gateways. We implemented a unique concept of “Virtual Sensors” which ensure continuity of historical data and calculations even in the event of a physical measuring device replacement.
- Advanced Analytics and Reporting: The system generates advanced consumption charts, heat maps, and automatic, cyclical billing reports. We implemented a diagnostic module that allows viewing raw data frames to resolve low-level issues.
- Security: Access to the administration panel is secured by VPN tunneling and a rigorous permission system (RBAC).
